Where are you located?
I'm located in Mountain View, CA! We've been in the bay for 6.5 years, and we absolutely love it here.
How did you get into photography?
Brad is actually the one who studied photography in school, but I kinda took over his hobby after we got married. He showed me the basics, and I ran with it.
What is your favorite aspect of photography?
I love getting to meet and talk to so many people. Everyone has a unique story, and I love being about to capture all the little things. Since my own baby was born, I realize how much I love maternity and newborn photography. Making mamas feel beautiful during this uncomfortable time is such a dream.
Where do you draw inspiration from/who are you inspired by (industry or not)?
Can I answer the opposite question? Family photo shoots were always the worst when I was growing up, so I wanted to make this less painful for my clients. HA!
What advice would you give to someone starting out or struggling to find their creative voice?
Oh, don't be scared to make mistakes. It's so cliche, but seriously, perfectionism will keep you from ever doing anything. Everyone has to be a beginner at some point. JUST FREAKING DO IT.
What is your favorite part about these images you submitted?
I absolutely love the studio photos where I can really slow down with my clients. My goal is to make you feel 100% yourself. I want people to feel like they know you when they look at your images.
